Since January 2005, the San Antonio Spurs have been the best team in the NBA, and have won two championships in that span. San Antone has a record of 182-74 in that span, so it is rare that a team defeats the Spurs. Not surprisingly, off a win over Tim Duncan & Co., teams suffer a letdown in their next game, and are a poor 27-42-4 ATS since January 17, 2005, including 20-40 ATS if their foe is NOT off back-to-back SU/ATS losses. The Celtics upended S.A. on Sunday 98-90 and they are 5-2 without Kevin Garnett in the lineup over their past seven games. But tonight's game against Indiana will be tough. The Pacers have not had a good season, but do come into tonight's game off back-to-back wins and covers.

It's now or never for the Hawks who have lost the first three meetings to the Pistons this year. Home loss came by 11 points but before that Atlanta had won and covered two-of-three in the host role. Detroit hammered woeful Charlotte at home Sunday so steps up in class and goes out on the road here. Atlanta comes home after a Saturday night loss at red-hot Houston. It is 16-10 at home and 15-11 ATS.
