The Av’s have struggled on the road all year and they’re also coming off a home loss to the Kings and those two things combined do not make them a very appealing favorite. Throw in the fact that they’re still missing Sakic and Arnason and this group is very beatable. The Coyotes went on a huge run before losing three in a row but let’s have a look at those three losses. They lost to Vancouver by a goal upon returning home from a six-game trip. Cam Ward will have a good game and follow it up by getting yanked the next game. What we do know is that we’ll get a strong effort from the Islanders because they always come to play. Furthermore, the Islanders are warming up again with four wins in their last five with only loss over that stretch coming against the Senators. Furthermore, the Islanders have snapped an ugly offensive funk they were in by scoring 18 goals over their last five and that includes a 5-spot over the Devils.

Very profitable night! 5 of 6 picks were winners! Only disappointment was Florida. Nba bets all 3 were correct, Nfl bet which I posted a couple days ago was correct too and If you took Montreal with (+1.5) handicap then your NHL night was 50/50 correct too.

And..... System Play is showing outstanding results. Again both plays went as planned. And even the bet we lost last time with Sacramento, we covered this time and got even profit from it!

Montreal Canadiens at New York Rangers

Rangers won big last night and the six goals they scored looks very nice on paper, however, they caught the Maple Leafs returning home from a long trip and they caught them very flat. Furthermore, the Rangers scored five power-play goals with two of them being 5 on 3’s. In fact, the Leafs were down two men for close to four minutes in the second period and the Rangers capitalized. It’s also worth noting that the first goal was a softie. The point is, the Rangers weren’t even close to being as impressive as the score suggests and their only five on five goal was a fluke. The Canadiens are going to put up a lot more resistance then the Leafs did last night. Montreal won both games in Florida, outscoring the Panthers and Lightning by a combined 10-3. They’re now 13-6-2 on the road and they wrap up a six game trip here before they’re off for another four days. That means Montreal will have nothing else on their minds tonight except finishing off this successful trip with a strong effort and another road win.

Florida Panthers at Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers have won two in a row but so what. They beat a Maple Leafs team on Thursday that was wrapping up a seven game trip and didn’t outplay them and they beat a reeling Lightning team yesterday and they didn’t outplay them either, getting out-shot 33-22. To sum it up, the Flyers beat two badly slumping teams and prior to that they had lost six straight. Lastly, it’s the Flyers third game in four days and the tail-end of back to back games and things are going to be a whole lot tougher here.

Bad luck in NBA last night.. All 3 picks did not pay off. Biggest disappointment was Detroit - Indiana game which went UNDER because of low scoring second half.

Though both NHL picks were correct - Washington trashed Ottawa 8:6 and as I predicted Ovechkin was the main star of the game with 4 goals. If you took Washington as a straight winner without a (+1.5) spread you you should be in profit anyway after last night. In my case i took the spread and according to 3 losses of 5 picks I`m slightly unlucky.

This evening should correct it all!

Washington Capitals at Ottawa Senators

No doubt playing in Ottawa or anywhere else against the Senators is a tough win for any team. However, Capitals are not even close to being as bad as their record indicates. This is a good team that has had more bad luck then any team in the business and it’s just a matter of time before things start to bounce their way. Three of the Capitals last five game have gone into extra time and they lost them all. They’ve lost seven games in OT while winning just twice. The Capitals still play hard every game and they still have a slew of impressive wins this year not to mention a slew of talent. They went into Ottawa on Nov 8 and beat them 4-1 and they went into Detroit last week and lost 4-3, again in OT. The Caps will roll four good lines out there and when you have a player like Alexander Ovechkin it’s a definite risk worth taking.

The over is 5-0-2 in Washington's last 7 games vs. a team with a winning record. The over is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games playing with 1 day rest. The Senators have played over the total in their last 7 home games. The over is a profitable 13-5-1 in their last 19 games overall. Their last 4 games played on Saturday's have played over the total. Not a bad night. From 6 picks 4 were straight winners, could be 5 if you took Phoenix as a winner without a spread. Only looser was Houston Rockets game in Memphis which went UNDER. I think everybody is in profit.

Yesterdays system play also shows good results. Sacramento game went UNDER. Unfortunately Philadelphia won the game but that is the beauty of this system - there is nothing lost yet! We take profit from this UNDER and will play again this system with a wager to win 3.15 units!

San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns

Playing an "early" game in the Eastern Time Zone, the 49ers will be facing a hungry Browns team and they'll also be forced to deal with the nasty late December Ohio weather. While the 49ers are just 1-5 SU/ATS their last six on the road, the Browns are a perfect 6-0 SU/ATS their last six at home. Last week's loss was an extremely costly one for the Browns, as they no longer control their own playoff destiny. In order to get in, they need to win on Sunday afternoon and also have the Titans lose at Indianapolis. Anderson and the Browns have something to prove and I expect them to be at their best.

Boston Celtics at Seattle Supersonics

Allen had been with Seattle since mid 2002-03 but the Sonics made the playoffs just once in Allen's time with the club. After securing the No. 2 overall selection in June's draft (Kevin Durant), the Sonics began their rebuilding process by trading Allen to Boston on draft night. That trade convinced Kevin Garnett, who spent the first 12 seasons of his career with Minnesota, that the Celtics were committed to building a contender. Amazingly, the Celtics can match their win total from last season with a victory in Seattle tonight and they should win with "room to spare!".

Boston had a 13-point third quarter last night but still scored 89 points. Expect an offensive show in Ray Allen's return to the Emerald City. Sonics were held to 79 in their Christmas Night loss at Portland so will better that number here in an up and down game. BOSTON is 18-3 OVER against Northwest division opponents over the last 3 seasons. SEATTLE is 17-6 OVER in home games in December games over the last 3 seasons.

Miami Heat at Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland has allowed 100 points in a game almost as many times this year as it did all last season but expect it to come out with some defensive intensity after getting booed at home in a Sunday loss to Golden State. Warriors have a lot more speed, depth and shooters than do this version of the Heat so the Cavs should have an easier time of it in front of the National TV audience.

I prefer Cleveland here.

Seattle Supersonics at Portland Trail Blazers

These teams aren't on National TV often and that's going to mean offense, not defense. Seattle gives up 107 per game on the road and Portland's lit it up and scored 100.6 its last five games. Clubs have gone over the total in five of the last eight meetings. In fact, SEATTLE is 144-100 OVER vs. division opponents since 1996.
