Tampa Bay Lightning at Washington Capitals
Tampa played the over last night in Carolina and the over is 5-1 in their last 6 road games. This will be the Lightning's 3rd game in 4 night and and the over is 5-2-2 in their last 9 games played in this situation. Washington's been keeping their playoff hopes alive thanks to solid goal tending and timely scoring. Facing a tired and bad Tampa team expect them to fill the net tonight. The over is 11-4 in the last 15 meetings between the clubs.

Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver Canucks
The Oilers have finally been eliminated from post season contention and it's become "must win" time for the Canucks. While I think the Canucks will probably find a way to earn the two very valuable points, the price on them is too steep for my liking. However, Vancouver has seen the 'under' go 6-3-1 their last 10 April games and I feel that the 'under' provides us with solid value once again.
The Oilers have scored two goals or less in three of their last four games ('under' was 3-1) and they always have trouble vs. Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo. Indeed, Luongo is 10-1-2 with a 1.90 goals-against-average his last dozen games against the Oilers. Not surprisingly, the last three meetings in this series have all produced five goals or less.
Luongo hasn't been his usual dominant self of late. He's a fierce competitor though and I expect him to bring his "A game" for this evening's critical clash. The Oilers have seen the go 10-3-1 their last 14 games played in the month or April and I look for those numbers to improve this evening.
