The Flames come off a momentum-building comeback win over the Vancouver last time out. As captain Jarome Iginla said: "We didn`t get discouraged, nobody got frustrated on the bench. We felt like we were going to find a way to get ourselves back in the game." They've now won four straight at home and will be highly motivated to earn another victory. Not only are they facing their hated provincial rivals but they're also battling for top spot in the Northwest division. Additionally, this represents their final home game of the regular season. A big part of the reason for the Flames recent improved play at home has been goalie Miikka Kiprusoff. Last year, Kiprusoff won 28 games here. He won't get that many this year but he's certainly rounding into form at the right time of year. Indeed, in his last nine starts here, Kiprusoff is 7-0-2 with two shutouts and a 1.76 goals-against average. Note that Kiprusoff is also 9-2-1 with a tie, a shutout and a 1.67 GAA in 13 all-time home games against the Oilers. Conversely, Edmonton goalie Dwayne Roloson is is 2-8-0 with three ties and a 2.58 GAA in 13 trips to Calgary. The Oilers have been fighting hard lately. They're off back to back losses though and I expect tonight's game to be the "nail in the coffin."
Taking Calgary!
Good luck!
