Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks
Detroit has been playing great ball this season and has the 2nd best record in the NBA. Not surprisingly, the Pistons have had very few slumps en route to its 44-17 record. And its best pointspread role this season is off back-to-back ATS losses. In that situation, Detroit is 10-1 ATS, with an average margin of victory of over 17 ppg. The Pistons have dropped their last two games to the spread (vs. Boston and Seattle), and I look for Detroit to rebound with a blowout win over the Knicks.
Taking New York (+10.5)!
Good luck!
Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns
Phoenix 4-9-1 ATS its last 14 starts. Jazz 4-0 ATS its last four in Phoenix and has won and covered four of its last five. Jazz, 105-76 Wednesday night home winners over Minnesota, is 8-0 ATS off a double digit win.
Taking Utah (+5)!
Good luck!
Roll the clock back to December of this season and you`ll see where Chicago took it on the chops twice against the Celtics, losing 92-81 at home on 12/8 and then again in a 107-82 embarrassment on this floor on 12/21. They`ll take the floor with a spiffy 24-12 ATS mark in this series, including 12-6 on this court. Boston, on the other hand, comes in off a duel Wednesday night with Detroit standing 6-14 SU & 7-13 ATS in games after playing the Pistons. It`s Friday, go ahead and start the night out with some Red Bull! Boston is 1-6 SU and 0-7 ATS at home versus an opponent playing revenge from a same season loss of 20 or more points.
Taking Chicago (+11.5)!
Good luck!
Note that Philadelphia is 8-1 ATS when they make 32% to 38% of their three point attempts in a game this season. Seattle is just 12-3 ATS when their opponents make 25% to 31% of their 3 pointers in a game this season. Play on favorites off a road win by 10 points or more and is now facing an opponent off a road loss by 10 points or more. Philly also finds itself in a strong role against weak defensive teams. Note that Philadelphia is 7-0 ATS in home games versus poor defensive teams that are allowing 99+ points/game and when the game is in the 2nd half of the season this season.
Taking Philadelphia (-10.5)!
Good luck!
Home court means a great deal to both these teams. The Blazers are an excellent 22-9 at home. However, they're just 9-21 on the road, including losses in eight of their last nine. The Bucks can relate. They've lost four straight and 11 of 12 on the road. Conversely, they've won four of their last five games here, going a perfect 6-0 ATS their last six. That includes outright victories over the likes of Cleveland, Denver and Detroit. For the season, the Bucks are now a respectable 17-12 at home. Most recently, they scored a season-high 118 points en route to a double-digit win over the Sonics. Charlie Villanueva, who went off for a season-high 32 points, expressed the confidence the Bucks are currently playing with, stating: "We definitely got it done. We're a tough team to beat when we're passing the ball like that. Guys did a tremendous job of finding the open man and guys made big shots. It was a good feeling." Not surprisingly, the Blazers "held serve" when they hosted the Bucks back in December, protecting their homecourt with a four point (overtime) victory. Look for the Bucks to return the favor this evening, building off Wednesday's victory and improving to 12-4 ATS after having scored 105 or more points in their previous game.
Taking Milwaukee!
Good luck!
The Nuggets have won three of their last four at the Pepsi Center, 23-7 at home this season. But, the hot Spurs have won ten straight, playing strong defensively, allowing an average of just 87.1 points per game in that span. The total has gone 'under' in the last five meetings and 11 of the last 13 battles in Denver. The last time these teams met on January, 3, 2008, Denver won 80-77 at the Pepsi Center. Look for the Spurs to choke Denver on their home court.
Taking UNDER 200!
Good luck!
