New York Islanders at Calgary Flames

Tuesday's loss notwithstanding, the Flames are 'heating' up, going 5-1 their last six games. The Islanders, on the other hand, have lost four straight. They've won just seven of 20 road games this season, getting outscored by nearly a goal per game. They haven't fared too well in road games which were expected to be low-scoring over the years either. In fact, they're a money-burning 49-75 (-17.4) the last 124 times that they played a road game with an over/under line of five or less. Conversely, Calgary has gone 33-12 (+12) the last 45 times it played a home game with an over/under line of five or less. The Flames are also 12-3 the last 15 games in this series, including a 5-1 mark the last six here in Calgary.

Taking Calgary!
Good luck

Phoenix Coyotes at Vancouver Canucks

Canucks 12-0-2 on home ice over the past two months, they've won six straight and haven't lost there since Nov. 1. Also, Vancouver is 11-0-1 with one tie in its past 13 at home against Phoenix dating back to February of 2000. The Canucks have lost three straight on the road but when they've been on their home ice, the Canucks have been a different team. That's in large part because of Roberto Luongo. He's been in goal for every game during the home winning streak, posting an 0.91 GAA and all six of his shutouts this season. In addition, Luongo is 3-0-0 with a 1.95 GAA against Phoenix since he joined Vancouver last season.

Taking Vancouver!
Good luck!

Minnesota Wild at Chicago Blackhawks

Coming off a big win over the Red Wings in Detroit last night, Minnesota should be flying high against a struggling Chicago squad this evening. Chicago has now lost seven straight games and they haven't defeated the Wild in over two years. The chances of snapping their skid against Minnesota do not look too promising either. The Blackhawks are simply ravaged with injuries right now. Chicago is without a number of key players but the worst part of the injury situation is the current absence of Jason Williams, Jonathan Toews, and Brent Sopel. Those are three very talented players that had a lot to do with the Hawks stronger play when this was a healthy hockey club. The scary thing for Blackhawks fans right now is that the Hawks aren't just losing, they're getting crushed. Chicago's last seven losses have come by a combined score of 28-12. Also, the Blackhawks have lost eight straight match-ups with the Wild and the last two defeats have been shutout losses!

Taking Minnesota!
Good luck!
